A solid foundation, seriousness and dedication to work: these are the strengths that allow a family company, skilled in crafting exquisite leather goods by hand, to display bags and suitcases in the most prestigious places in the World.
Back in 1947, in Milan, Italy, a leather craftsman named Natale Beretta, founded his family business ‘Lavarazione Artigiana Del Cuoio’ (handcraft leather products). Beretta was awarded several prizes for quality, innovation and style, among others the “Compasso d’Oro” in 1956 for the “Arcata bag’. Nowadays that bag is on permanent exhibition at New York Museum of Modern Art. Alfredo, son of Natale, and lately Massimo, his nephew, took over the business, continuing their trust in hand-making and quality over quantity.
All of the items produced by Beretta represent the meeting point of two different aspects: time and dedication. The knowledge of the craftsman, passed down through generations, have allowed Beretta to keep most of their traditional styles and shapes, but bring them into the modern day by using new materials, such as crocodile and new designs, including a fusion of multicoloured leathers and camouflage.
All steps of production leading to the completion of any article are made by hand: gluing, scraping the edge, hot lining, marking points for the hand-stitching and painting. Beretta takes pride in the details, smoothness and perfection to the touch of every single piece, proving the merit of the artisan and the uniqueness of each item.
